He also won his second FedEx Cup title, which puts him alongside golf greats like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy who also hold two and three FedEx championship titles respectively.
What separated Scheffler in 2024 was not the impressive number of wins but how he managed to do it. He led the Tour in strokes gained, and had an astonishing 15 top-ten finishes in 22 starts, making him a threat to win no matter the course or weather conditions. Scheffler’s record-breaking season netted him a mere $29 million, making him the highest earning player ever, only surpassing himself the year prior when he made $21 million with 17 top-ten finishes in 23 starts.
Going into 2025, the question is not whether Scottie Scheffler will maintain his form, but rather how much further he can improve his game. Unfortunately, the start of his season has been delayed due to a minor wrist injury, but he should be fully healthy for the Pebble Beach Pro-Am this weekend.
